Megatrends in school education

In November 2019, we launched the workshop series “School of tomorrow” with the support of the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Karl Schlecht Foundation. Together with experts from the worlds of educational research and practice, civil society, business, and politics, we approached the question of which major topics and future issues of our time a pioneering new school should address.

In the kick-off workshop, we discussed the relevance of current megatrends in school education and global educational innovations with Dr Daniel Dettling, Zukunftsinstitut, and Professor Gerhard de Haan, Institut Futur, among others.

Workshop discussions have been taking place online at regular intervals in smaller expert groups. The focus has been on the training and continuing education of teachers, the personal development of students, the question of equal opportunities and access to education, technoliteracy in the 21st century and a pedagogical concept for tomorrow.

We are very pleased that we were able to gain renowned experts as well as pupils and teachers for the discussions, and we would like to thank them very much for the numerous suggestions and lively discussions.
