Public Funding
Your help is needed
Responsibility for the future
For the creation of our educational campus in Templin, a total of € 100 m is needed, which must be generated from private donations and public funding. For the renovation of the existing buildings, public funders at the national level and from the state of Brandenburg have expressed their trust in and promised more than € 50 m in funding.
On our education and science campus, we will bring together students from all over Europe and the world in a democratic school and simultaneously create many jobs in Templin. The est meets every condition to become an important part of the education landscape in eastern Germany.
A commitment to the est is an excellent opportunity to advance the European idea in a very practical way. You can support educational innovations and the improvement of educational opportunities for all. In addition, your commitment helps foster a structurally weak region.
We will act as your reliable partner in the planning and implementation of this project. Professional accounting and documentation are a matter of course for us. In addition, your support will be visibly communicated in all of our communication measures.
A historical monument brought back to life
The complex of buildings of the former Joachimsthalsches Gymnasium Templin with school buildings, boarding school accommodation, an operations yard, a boathouse, and landscaped gardens was built between 1910 and 1912 by the Berlin government architect and master planner Fritz Bräuning. Following its use as a school and training centre, this complex of buildings has been vacant since 1996 and must be saved from decay. The original building fabric has been preserved.
The ensemble is a monument of national significance. For its use as a future-oriented school, we are also planning new buildings, such as a research workshop, a sports’ hall, an assembly hall, and a canteen.
