We have the unique opportunity to take up the tradition of the Joachimsthalsches Gymnasium and to revitalise it for the 21st century and beyond. We aim to revive the spirit of humanist education and connect it with the idea of a shared European culture. In this bold endeavour, we are embarking along a new path that crosses boundaries.
Joint effort will be needed to establish the very first European School in the eastern part of Germany. The European School Templin initiative has already gone a long way towards achieving this goal, but the ultimate success of the project will require the support of other donors that care about education, international understanding, and the preservation of historic buildings.
A bright future for our children in a modern, prosperous Europe – that’s something worth committing to!
